Star Inc. Warned for Emissions

USA – The local Environmental Services Office issued a warning to Star Inc. after a report released yesterday found the company’s manufacturing plant to be close to violating the county’s air-quality statutes. Under current regulatory requirements, a factory of Star’s size is allowed to release up to 1000 pounds (453 kg) of CO2 per month. According to the report, emissions from the plant approached 950 pounds (499 kg) last month.
